Lake Midway viewed from the garden on a promising September Morning. Temperatures later rose to over 72 degrees.

A view of Lake Midway from the garden of the cottage. The lake is recognised as an important scientific area, due to the fact that it contains relict water fauna.

The cottage garden is varied. It is regularly mown in the immediate vicinity of the house and is left wild in other parts, to attract birds and insects. The woodland is mixed deciduous and evergreen with a wide variety of trees, including fruit trees.

Nestled in over a hundred Acres of unspoiled countryside on its own 3.75 Acre plot, the seclusion offers the chance to experience nature in its full glory. Whilst secluded, the cottage is not remote as it is on the road which runs from Digby to Long Island and Brier Island via the inexpensive ferries.
